New Coen Brothers Series ‘The Ballad of Buster Scruggs’ Now Casting

The upcoming limited series The Ballad of Buster Scruggs directed by the Coen Brothers is now casting.  Casting directors are looking for Asian men, stand-ins, and other talents to participate in the production. Shooting is scheduled to begin on July 28 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Coens are set to write and direct the series, which may combine television and theatrical components. The plot is a mix of six story lines that are too vast to make into a single film. That said, this project marks the first television outing for the award-winning directors of True Grit and No Country for Old Men. The Ballad of Buster Scruggs needs Asian actors available for filming on July 28. Other roles available are that of musicians, grandmothers, and a male stand-in.
