It is official. Sandra Bullock is People Magazine’s Most Beautiful Woman of 2015. However, she doesn’t really take her appearance seriously.
In an interview with the publication, the 50-year-old actress shared her reaction upon receiving the accolade. “I laughed. No, really, I just said, ‘That’s ridiculous”, she said. Later, she added:
“Real beauty is quiet. Especially in this town, it’s just so hard not to say, ‘Oh, I need to look like that’. No, be a good person, be a good mom, do a good job with the lunch, let someone cut in front of you who looks like they’re in a bigger hurry. The people I find most beautiful are the ones who aren’t trying.”
Also, Bullock revealed that being a mother to five-year-old Louis is what makes her feel most beautiful. She revealed, “I was putting him to bed and told him that even when I’m old and grey and more wrinkly than I am now, I’ll still love him and want to tuck him in”.
Aside from being a mum, she credits her radiant looks to a healthy diet. She has since embraced green juice and works out four to five times a week.
The Oscar winner joins Lupita Nyong’o and Gwyneth Paltrow in the list of actresses to receive the honor. She is the oldest woman in the history of People Magazine’s Most Beautiful Woman list to have been given the accolade, proving that real beauty knows no age.
