Every year YouTube releases its annual list of the year’s top videos. After releasing 2014’s most viral videos, they now came out with their official list of music videos that dominated the Internet throughout the year.

The year 2014 proved to be a year for girl power as majority of the contenders in the list are female artists.

It was also a year for the booty mania that is currently taking the entertainment industry by storm. This resulted in the eventual booting out of Psy from his place at the top of this year’s video list, as the compilation was filled with many of today’s most talked about music videos such as Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda”.
