For male models, breaking into the fashion business is never a piece of cake. They have to gain the respect of photographers, fashion editors, designers, and even casting directors, before they can even make a name for themselves in the industry. While a great number of male print and runway models have made it to the top, there are those of them who retired from modeling to pursue better opportunities like acting in movies. Nevertheless, these men had their fair share of the modeling super-stardom before they eve began to venture into the world of show business. Below is our list of the sexiest male models of all time, some of whom have already transitioned into the acting world, while others are still going strong in modeling or juggling both:

  Actor and male models Kellan Lutz was born in Dickinson, North Dakota. He is best known for playing Emmett Cullen in the blockbuster film series, The Twilight Saga. While in high school, he had an opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic for one semester. There, he studied the country’s culture and learned how to speak Spanish. As a teenager, Lutz had picked up several modeling jobs. In 2006, he appeared in the commercial of Hilary Duff’s fragrance, With Love. Also, he was featured in Hinder’s music video, Without You. Lutz has acted on a variety of TV shows, which includes his recurring roles on Model Citizens, and smaller roles in C.S.I: NY, Six Feet Under, Heroes and The Bold and the Beautiful. He is currently signed with FORD Models. He is among the models featured in Calvin Klein’s 2010 underwear campaign.

During his childhood, the American model practiced almost all sorts of sport, including wrestling, basketball, soccer and lacrosse. However, his true passion was acting. He was inspired by Robert De Niro’s films as well as the Star Wars trilogy. Because of his soccer abilities, he was granted a soccer scholarship at Towson University. Bert Hamilton was the first photographer, who suggested that he pursue a modeling career. However, it wasn’t until 2006 that he was discovered by a talent scout after his prom photos were shared on MySpace by a fashion-icon, Nole Marin. Since then, he has been featured in a number of ad campaigns and editorials.   Born in Santa Catarina, Brazil, Marlon Teixeira started his modeling career after he was introduced by his grandmother to the owner of Way Model Management. Teixeira has since walked the runways for many major fashion labels, including Emporio Armani, Jean Paul Gaultier, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana, and DSquared. He has also been featured on magazine covers, such as Essential Homme, Fiasco, Hercules, Client and Made in Brazil. Among his most impressive ad campaigns include those that he did for some of the biggest fashion brands like Dior Homme, Sergio K, Diesel Underwear, Emporio Armani, Iceberg and American Eagle.   The American model Noah Mills was born in Ontario, Canada, but was raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He already began his modeling career, while he was attending a university in Vancouver, British Columbia in 2003. At the age of twenty, he was at the peak of his career, working with various fashion agencies, including Wilhelmina Models. Eventually, he debuted as a runway model for Yves Saint Laurent and Gucci. He modeled their collections in an event in Paris and Milan. Mills has been featured in other fashion modeling events as well. He has opened the shows for Dolce & Gabbana, Michael Kors, and Versace. He has also worked with a number of established models, the likes of Naomi Campbell, Tyson Ballou and Claudia Schiffer. In 2012, he ranked number three in’s list called, “The Money Guys.” The following year, he ranked number five.

As a reward, he was signed with FORD Models. The contest has opened more opportunities for the Brazilian model. With his charisma, professionalism, looks, and glowing youth, plenty of agents and clients were dying to work with him. He rapidly rose to fame and eventually, he was chosen to do a campaign for Dior. His first runway shows were in Milan and Paris, where he walked for designers, such as Dior Homme and Gucci. So, he decided to take up Multimedia Computing instead at the University of Gloucestershire. Before he graduated from the University, his housemate entered him into a modeling competition without his knowledge. He won the competition and received a contract with one of the most prestigious modeling agencies in London, Select Model Management Agency. He then turned to the successful model he never thought he’d become. In 2002, he began modeling. He spent his first five years in the fashion realm, doing endless catwalk shows. In the succeeding years of his career, he worked for numerous companies, including Zara, Hugo Boss, H&M, Massimo Dutti, Gant U.S.A., and 7 for all Mankind. The English model has been featured on a total of sixteen magazine covers. Also, he has posed for the fashion editorials of El Palacio de Hierro, Marks & Spencer, Banana Republic, and Lucky Brand Jeans. He was chosen as Johnnie Walker Blue Label Whiskey’s new brand ambassador as well. Gandy has received nominations and awards as a model. He was then cast in more prominent roles, including the teenage spy Alex Rider in Stormbreaker. His performance received positive reviews. He next appeared in Wild Child, where he met Emma Roberts. He also starred in a film based on Alex Finn’s novel, Beastly. In 2011, he played the title role in the film I Am Number Four. In 2009, Pettyfer was listed in a British women’s magazine, Company. For years, he has been a good scorer for the team. Because of his consistent ability on the field, he became a major attraction for the public. He eventually became a fashion icon, together with his wife Victoria, a former member of the singing group, Spice Girls. Fashion magazines, health and fitness specialists, hair stylists, clothing designers, and perform and cosmetics manufacturers were very interested in working with him. In fact, a fragrance line was named after him. It was called David Beckham Instinct. Beckham’s endorsement deals established him as one of the most recognizable athletes all over the world. He has signed contracts with major companies, including Adidas, Pepsi Co., Samsung, Burger King, Diet Coke and Armani.
