The director of Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, Lorene Scafaria, brings an eccentric touch to this new movie, The Meddler. As production gears up late this March in Los Angeles, California, casting directors are looking for talents to fill in featured roles.
Starring Susan Sarandon, Rose Byrne, and J.K. Simmons, a fresh winner of the Oscars, the movie centers around Marnie Minervini, an aging widow and eternal optimist from New York City. Because of her desire to be closer to her daughter, she follows her to Los Angeles. As Marnie embarks on her journey, with an iPhone and a full bank account in hand, she hopes a new life will be uncovered after her husband’s death. New friends, renewed purpose and the thought of possibly dating are what lies ahead in her journey.
As filming blasts off on March 27, casting directors are seeking female talents to act as stand-ins for the lead roles.
To fill the role of stand-in for Sarandon, Caucasian females, aged between 35 and 50 with an auburn to light brown hair color, are needed. You should weigh from 110 to 120 lbs and stand between 5’6” and 5’8” tall.
Meanwhile, Caucasian females, who are in their 20’s to 30’s with brown to dark brown shoulder-length hair, weighs between 110 to 120 lbs and stands from 5’6” to 5’8” tall, are sought to fill the role for Byrne’s stand-in.
Applicants must have open availability to work for multiple dates throughout April and stand-in experience to be considered . Also, it is essential to submit your photo to the director indicating the actress you are applying to be a stand-in for.
