Hollywood actor Matt Damon has confirmed that he will be reprising his role as Jason Bourne in 2016.

The news of his reprisal first came out when Damon’s buddy Ben Affleck candidly let the cat out of the bag in a red carpet interview. Damon said in an interview at a party for Project Greenlight that he’ll be reuniting with Bourne Identity director Paul Greengrass for the project.

Damon was quoted saying,

“It’ll be in 2016 when the movie will actually come out. (Director) Paul Greengrass is going to do another one and that’s all I ever said. I just needed him to say yes.”

Damon was last seen in the movie’s third installment entitled The Bourne Ultimatum before bowing out of the fourth. He was replaced by actor Jeremy Renner in 2012 for The Bourne Ultimatum.
