The Latest Disney Channel Auditions Update for 2014

When it comes to starting kids and teens early on their acting career, there is no other authority for such acting jobs but Disney Channel auditions. Everyone knows how Disney has propelled the careers of former child stars like Hilary Duff, Miley Cyrus, Zac Efron and many others and that is virtually why every kid in town will want to follow suit. To freshly start 2014, Disney Channel and Disney XD are coming up with new shows and starting fresh seasons for their well-loved shows. This means more opportunities for children and teens who have always aspired to be part of a Disney production. They have announced the latest developments in Disney auditions and we are more than willing to share casting calls that kids, teens and even adults should not miss.

1. Liv and Maddie Season 2

A comedy series that revolves around the lives of twins, Liv and Maddie Rooney, whose lives are always made colorful by the differences in their personalities, their family and friends. Already one of Disney Channel’s hit shows, this second season is promising more to come to their viewers. They are currently casting stand-in roles and extras throughout the filming of its 13-episode order.

2. Off The Island

There has not been much buzz about this upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie, but we know that filming will start in May and will run through July, but the movie will not be released until 2015.  Casting for the main roles of the movie is on-going in LA while additional roles and extras will be cast in Vancouver, British Columbia where they will be filming. Actors interested should be eligible to work in Vancouver and Canada.

3. Growing Up and Down

Disney is also gearing up for a comedy series pilot fit for the whole family. It revolves around parents Jackie and Pete who have been magically transformed into 14-year olds. Castings have been announced for kids, teens and adults who will be potentially playing regular, recurring and extra roles once the pilot goes into full series swing.

4.  Girl Meets World

The highly anticipated spinoff of ABC’s hit sitcom Boy Meets World is finally getting realized as the filming of their first season is underway. They are currently auditioning small speaking roles, stand-ins and extras while wrapping up their filming for its first season. 

5. Descendants

This upcoming live-action Disney Original movie based on the lives of our favorite Disney characters’ children is also set to be released in 2015 and will film alongside Off the Island. They are currently casting teens for stand-in roles and extras and since the movie is filming in Vancouver, they should be eligible to work in British Columbia and Canada.

6.  Super Awesome Katy

Disney is calling out to kids and teens between 12 and 16 years old who can play regular roles on an upcoming comedy series on Disney Channel. The series has already begun filming in January in Los Angeles, but casting is ongoing for more guest roles and recurring roles.  Adults are also welcome to audition for roles.  Casting is by Suzanne Goddard Smythe and Ty Harman. 

7. Kickin’ It Season 4

One of Disney XD’s most-loved shows is announcing casting calls for their fourth season. It’s a Laugh and Poor Soul Productions are looking for adults and teens to play new recurring roles for the upcoming fourth season of Kickin’ It. These acting auditions will continue throughout the season along with casting its extras. 

8.  Kirby Buckets

Another pilot is in production this time for a new sitcom to be featured on Disney XD. Young teens and adults are currently being cast for co-stars, regular cast and small roles for Kirby Buckets.  Casting will go on throughout the filming of the pilot and will be presided by Sally Stiner and Barbie Block. Most of these casting calls are coursed through talent agents and actors’ unions where the talents have had experience in the past, but they also welcome beginners to try out. Before trying out for an audition, beginners might want to try reading through some acting tips and strategies in successfully auditioning for the biggest media conglomerate in the industry. They might get picked at the Disney Channel auditions and become the next big star on the network.
