Harry Potter fans will certainly have a treat this Halloween as author JK Rowling is slated to release another story from the wizarding world.
The news first came out in JK Rowling’s website called Pottermore.com. The story will go online on October 31. This time, the story will focus on the infamous former Hogwarts professor named Dolores Umbridge. The character first appeared in the fifth installment in the Harry Potter series entitled Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix as a former Minister for Magic’s Senior undersecretary .
She is noted for particularly punishing the bespectacled Harry Potter with a Blood Quill which left him with the scar “I must not tell lies.”
Rowling said in an statement she released in Pottermore,
“Umbridge is not only one of the most malicious Potter characters, she is the only person other than Lord Voldemort to leave a permanent physical scar,”
It is also hinted that the story will offer a unique perspective from Umbridge herself.
Earlier this year Rowling published another Harry Potter story written in the view of the notorious gossip monger Rita Skeeter which provided an update on Harry and his friends years after the book ended. Another story also focused on lesser known character in the name of Celestina Warbeck, a singing sorceress.
This caused the site to temporarily crash.
The story is slated for release on Halloween, much to the anticipation of Harry Potter fans worldwide.
JK Rowling is the multi-awarded author of the highly successful Harry Potter series that recounts the tale of a bespectacled boy wizard and his adventures in the wizarding world.
