Dory, a blue tang fish, was first introduced in Finding Nemo. She accompanies clown fish Marlin in his quest to find his son Nemo, who was whisked away by a diver. Unlike its 2003 predecessor, the setting of the new movie might bring our heroes to another location.

It is revealed that the trio will journey to places like Australia’s Great Barrier Reef and the California Coastline.

The story is set six months after the events of Finding Nemo. Dory, who is living with Nemo, lives a normal and quite life about her forgetfulness. A class trip with Nemo prompts Dory to wonder about her origin. Further details indicate that Dory might have been born in a marine aquarium before being released into the ocean.

The new setting of the story introduced new characters to the scene.

It is reported that Dory’s parents named Charlie and Jenny will be voiced by Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton. A beluga whale, who goes by the name of Bailey, will be voiced by Ty Burrell while actors Idris Elba and Dominic West were also reported to be part of the sequel.
