People in nursing homes may be old, but they can still rock it. These senior citizens can do a lot of things that most young people can do and one of these is grace the pages of a calendar. A limited edition calendar made as a gift from a nursing home in Essen, Germany features a number of its residents in recreation photos of classic and well-loved movies such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Rocky, Mary Poppins, The Blues Brothers and Titanic, among others. The oldies pulled it off with such aplomb that will make you really appreciate them and be amazed with what they have accomplished. In an interview with German magazine Der Spiegel, 90-year old Kurt Neuhaus, a resident of the Contilia Retirement Group nursing home, revealed that it was “really exciting” for him to sit atop the Harley chopper used for the Easy Rider reenactment.  Neuhaus portrayed the role of Peter Fonda’s character, “Wyatt”, while fellow nursing resident Walter Loeser, who is 98 years old, recreated Dennis Hopper’s character, “Billy”. Loeser said the experience was “tremendous fun” and that he “felt macho” dressed in fringe and full leather. In another shot that recreated a scene from the 1987 dance movie Dirty Dancing, starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey, nursing home residents John Liedtke and Marianne Pape played the lead roles, respectively. Liedtke, who is 92, was shown lifting 79-year old Pape over his head. Liedtke was quick to admit though that he is not that strong enough to lift a lady over his head and that a “few computer tricks” did the trick in making it look effortless on his part. The awesome photos first appeared on the social bookmarking site, Reddit, and quickly spread like wildfire. If you wish to be inspired by the photos yourself, check them out below: James Bond: Wilhelm Buiting, 89 Senior Citizens Titanic: Erna Rütt, 86, and Alfred Kelbch, 81  Senior Citizens Breakfast At Tiffany’s: Marianne Brunsbach, 86 Senior Citizens Rocky: Erwin J. von der Heiden, 80 Senior Citizens Mary Poppins: Erna Schenk, 78 Senior Citizens The Seven Year Itch: Ingeborg Giolbass, 84, and Erich Endlein, 88 Senior Citizens The Blues Brothers: Margarete Schmidt, 77, and Lothar Wischnewski, 76  Senior Citizens Cabaret: Martha Bajohr, 77  Senior Citizens Giant: Joanna Trachenberg, 81, and Horst Krischat, 78  Senior Citizens Dirty Dancing: Johann Liedtke, 92, and Marianne Pape, 79 Senior Citizens Easy Rider: Walter Loeser, 98, and Kurt Neuhaus, 90  Senior Citizens Saturday Night Fever: Irmgard Alt, 79, and Siegfried Gallasch, 87  Senior Citizens Below are some more inspirational Senior people you’d like to get to know:
