ABC’s ‘Dirty Dancing’ Now Casting

ABC‘a Dirty Dancing is now casting dancers, musicians, and extras to work in Asheville, North Carolina. Casting directors are looking for people to work on the upcoming Dirty Dancing TV series. Tona B. Dahlquist is the official casting director for the show, which is a remake of the Patrick Swayze movie. The Dirty Dancing remake will be a three episode miniseries on ABC. The show will create 1,225 jobs in North Carolina, which include 900 extras, 30 cast members, and 225 crew. Here are the details of the open casting call:

Extras

For extras they are looking for males and females of all ethnic backgrounds, 18 years old and above. Very few children are needed for this film.

Period Cars

For the period vehicles they need late 1950s to 1975 models. When submitting have photos of the car and owner of the car ready. Owner’s details will need to be included.

Dirty Dancing: Dancers

Experienced dancers of all ages male and female. Of all ethnic background. Most especially needed are those college age (20–30 years old). Must be available to work on multiple days throughout filming. The dancers should be experienced in the dance moves and styles seen in the original movie.
