TV shows that are attached to big names in the industry are often those that take the hardest falls. Technically, all of these shows will be judged according to criteria. These shows are judged depending on quality, budget, viewership and content. Regardless of how star-studded or how big the series might be, if it doesn’t meet the criteria, it will always flop. 1. Supertrain

Supertrain NBC’s response to The Love Boat has always been referred to as the standard for mega-flops. During the very first demonstration of the train, there was already a bad sign. However, this sign was disregarded. The million-dollar model electric “supertrain” actually crashed. In the long run, the show suffered from poor ratings and reviews. The production costs even nearly bankrupted the network.

2. Pink Lady and Jeff

In 1980, Pink Lady and Jeff aired for six weeks. The show featured musical numbers by a Japanese female singing duo called Pink Lady. To add more fun to the show, the comedian Jeff Altman was included. Since the girls knew very little English, critics hated it.

3. The Chevy Chase Show

The wit and humor of Chevy Chase didn’t save The Chevy Chase Show, a weeknight show that was only aired for five weeks in 1993.

4. Cop Rock

The musical police drama Cop Rock only had 11 episodes in 1990. Even if the theme song and the script were written by Steven Bochco, the show still flopped. Several years after, Bochco regained his name with NYPD Blue.

5. You’re in the Picture

Jackie Gleason hosted a game show called You’re in the Picture. But the show only aired once on tv at January 20, 1961. It featured celebrity contestants who were sticking their heads into a scene that was painted on plywood. They will guess the scene by asking Gleason questions. The show was a total disaster.

6. Me and the Chimp

The idea of working with animals on television is really a great risk. Me and the Chimp revolves around a family who saw a chimp roaming around the neighborhood and kept it from their neighbors. The show didn’t exceed the expectations of viewers. With that, it was only aired for more or less five months.

Turn-on is the very first show that was cancelled before the premiere episode had finished airing. The show used advanced equipment and tools including animation, computer graphics, synthesized music and signs flashing sexual suggestions. The show was turned off by almost every viewer who watched it.

8. Who’s Your Daddy?

Fox’s reality show Who’s Your Daddy was cancelled immediately after its first episode. The show took a woman, who had been adopted as a baby. She was placed in a room filled with eight men, one of them was her biological father. In case she chose the right person as her father, they would receive a cash prize. On the other hand, if she chose the wrong person, the money would go to him. Fox decided to stop broadcasting the show after it was blasted by adaptation rights organizations.

9. My Mother the Car

My Mother the Car was called the worst TV show of all time. It aired on NBC from 1965 to 1966. Jerry Van Dyke was the star of the show. He was the owner of a 1928 Porter convertible, which was possessed by her dead mother. The voice of the car came out of the radio. Unfortunately, the show flops and  was criticized by everyone.
